Neville Gabie, Tatton park, biennial celebration
We were approached by Neville Gabie, a renowned environmental Artist. His exhibit was a 10,000 year old Iceberg, removed carefully from the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Greenland. The ice was to be displayed in a glass cube with no form of mains power for the whole of the summer, chilled only by a small, Hydrocarbon [non ozone depletive] system with PV Cells to power the compressor and fans and the refrigerant condensed in a copper tube coil in the adjacent lake.
